I Googled a cymbal type I was interested in and almost bid on it until I found out it was mine.

Once a bid is placed BIN goes away. Can still have bidwars AND uploaded to Google.

That is true, but the seller still has to add a Buy It Now price in the first place just to be uploaded to Google, which is a shame, because bidding wars (when they happen) can bring in more $$$ than a fixed price.
