do bids show on listing?

I am thinking of selling here but concerned because I have looked at many listing with 'bidding' but not found anybody with a bid on item.

it seems very slow,, is it?

also on 'sellers' can you state you want paying via paypal?

seems there are MANY viewings on lots of items..

please advise

1. The number of bids doesn't show.
2. You can specify any (normal) payment method you want.
3. Viewing numbers are irrelevant.
4. You have the opportunity to make it as fast or slow as you want (see all the tips for listing)
5. Remember, it's not eBay - it's easier and cheaper to sell.

What Squern said. If you do list auction format, be sure to start at the lowest price you'd be willing to accept for the item, as there aren't a lot of bidding wars at present, with the exception of YDC charity auctions. Many items sell using Buy It Now, which is also why bids don't show. If you want to view items with bids, check out Popular Listings on the homepage.

I just sold 4, (2) regular and (2) charity auctions. I am also bidding on 6 listings. But it is slower here than some place(s). You have to work at getting sales here, but sales do happen.

You can select Paypal as your payment method only, or add money orders, checks, etc.

I would love to see the bids on the listings and on the front page.

Actually they do show number of bids, but you have to be viewing the listing to see it. They really need to have it show on the search page as well.

Maybe some Day this site will have action... without bids showing you will all see less sales if you auction.
NOT talking about fixed price offerings.
Bids need to show to lOOkers when they scroll sub-cats.
Site would have well over 1 million more solid listings for auction.. if Bids showed. Endless sadness about this subject !!
