Payment holds on Paypal are directed by eBay, things you sell on here are not subject to paypal holds.

Yes they are. My business paypal account has a rolling 4 week hold on it and there's usually over £1k stuck in there at any given time. I don't sell anything on ebay using that account!

I appologise then, but I was just going by what paypal told me when my payments were put on hold whlist I listed on the other side.

It's not 'stuck'. It is cuddled up with billions of other's money in PayPal's account earning them loads of interest.

How do they justify to you holding on to your money for so long? I can't see that you would fall under the classification of an unproven PayPal user.

Your guess is as good as mine Mel?????? My hold is 28 days! Maybe because it's only used for "Paypal Here" payments ie: payments taken in the field (pardon the pun), & not web based purchases.

Who knows???????

I encourage BACS and pass on the paypal fee saving to the customer:

pay me by internet banking and I will deduct 5% from your invoice

and how many make use of it?

1% BACS
