Thread: Store is offline but my listing still come up with search

  1. #1

Default Store is offline but my listing still come up with search

I'm not sure how to fix this.

I took my store offline yesterday but my listings still appear if a single search is performed.

I want to take my store offline and my products not be searchable until I'm ready for it again.

I have over 10,000 listings so I don't want to have to delete them all.

    Please help or advise!!

That is correct and the way eBid works if you close a store or take it offline.

Three options to achieve what you want...

    1. Place a Holiday Notice on your store(s). Listings will remain visible but Bid/Buy will be blocked.
    2. Close your listings. They will remain available for reposting for 75 days.
    3. Delete your listings. If you export them first you can import them again when you are ready.

What Mel said. I tend to prefer the holiday option; though items are still searchable, potential buyers can't bid or buy while the notice is in place. Then when you decide to reopen, you simply take the notice down, no relisting required.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

I'm curious as to whether I can close my listings and not delete them for the 75 days and then relist them and close them again for 75 more days. Hopefully this makes sense.

I don't want to do the holiday option as I'd rather not have to worry about fielding questions and I also don't want to give the wrong impression (that I'm not answering).

If you intend to be 'missing in action' for that kind of time your simplest option is to export your listing to a file to reload when you are ready and close or delete your listings. While what you suggest should work, I'm not going to guarantee it - or that you will remember to refresh it before the listings are deleted by eBid 75 days after being closed.
