Default Yes! I've sold my first item...

You wouldn't believe how much like an excited kid I am right now, says to hubby, "I've sold an item, what do I do, what do I do..." I assume I do what I do when I sell an item on TOS I go to my Paypal account for buyer's details, or do I do something different here on eBid?

Now I'm going to have a drink of Baileys (well, cheap version of) :-)

    Congratulations.

As you say, do just what you do on TOS, wait for payment then ship out the goods. I normally check eBid
contact details (dashboard - drop down menu next to the item sold) and make sure they are the same as paypal address.

Congrats!! If they buyer has paid via paypal, you can go to Paypal for their address. I've had addresses on the ebid invoice vary from the paypal address.......so best to use the paypal. Congrats again!! Wishing you many more!
    Ta-Ta for now!

Thank you both for replies :-)

I looked for buyers contact details from drop-down, couldn't see anything, just looked again, now I know I have to scroll down for their details.

Buyer paid immediately, so I would assume no need to send invoice. Item is packaged and ready to pop in the post box when I go out later this evening. :-)

I always send Invoice even after payment has been made without one.... I put on it: INVOICE FOR INFORMATION ONLY - item fully paid for with many thanks.
My reasoning is that in the event of Post Office loss an invoice will have to be produced to make a claim.....
Congrats on your 1st sale - I hope it is the first of many... Don't forget to leave FB for your lovely Buyer!

Thanks for that Cheaver, a very handy thing to know, invoice now sent with similar suggested message.

No worries, I'll not forget about buyer feedback, I have over 2000 seller feedback on TOS. I leave feedback at the end of transaction, after buyer has left feedback so I know buyer is happy, is there a issue with who leaves feedback first here?

I take the view that once a Buyer has been good enough to browse, buy & pay (putting full trust in me) they have completed their obligation & have earned their feedback. I get a lot of Newbie Buyers so my FB kickstarts their FB count for them.
Here on eBid Feedback is editable should anything go wrong (so there is no need to hold back) ~ but that hasn't happened to me at all.
I also take the view that to withhold FB waiting until you get it first is like holding the sword of Damocles over a Buyer's head ~ not a positive thing to do. Reward produces a much better result I always think than what could be perceived as a threat.

eBid is so much nicer than elsewhere to work in!

Ok thanks, I've been leaving feedback at the end of transaction for more than 10 years, old habits hard to break and all that, I will give what you've said some thought. :-)
