I suppose it depends on what is perceived as the end of a transaction. The FB hasn't anything to do with that IMO. Buyer Buys & Pays. Seller sends. There, for me, the transaction typically ends.
FB is the icing on the cake..... I leave it every time.... Buyers don't always ....
    I can take it lol!

It certainly feels good when you sell something on a site you are new to. Since I've been listing on Ebid I have managed to sell two things. Granted this is not a big number, but I have not had the time yet to list all my stock as of yet. I'm hoping with all the advertising I do on twitter I will eventually sell more and continue to grow on ebid.

    More re FB....

As I seem to get a high ratio of New-to-eBid Buyers I think it helps to understand that they may initially struggle to find their way around a new venue....
with that in mind I always send them an email to help them.... here is a typical one (I edit it to suit the Buyer, but this one I sent today):

    Hi .........

Many thanks for your purchase of the ............ and instant payment.

Because you are new to eBid and might not yet have found your way around the ASL (After Sale Log) here is a bit of help: Click on My eBid then click on the Bought tab > then click on your item & you will see the log.

Your payment has come through fine & your item will be posted tomorrow unless you choose to wait until after the Bank Holiday. (Please let me know which you prefer).

When I get in from the Post Office I will mark your item as shipped in the ASL log and the red S button will go green. (top right)

I have sent an Invoice (For information only as you have fully paid) and I have also done positive feedback for you - which I hope you will feel able to do for me once your item has arrived.

Many thanks for your purchase, your rapid payment and your support of Janet's Trust.

Best Wishes and Welcome to eBid.

I have been thanked quite a few times for this & my return FB ratio is high IMO.
    Hope this helps
    .

    Cheers Sue :-)

Pawnclaws, I can't find your eBid listings, you just may have something I'd fancy buying for my dogs.

(is there a link, other than Store that I'm missing in forum posts for posters listings?)

Cheaver, thanks again, it may be that I decide new site, new way of doing things, like I said, I'll think about it, don't need to decide today. ;-).

    On the feedback issue,

As a seller I always leave feedback once the item(s) are paid for. (buyer completed their side of the deal)

As a buyer, I do expect feedback to be left when I have paid. (I have completed my side of the deal)

If the seller casn not be bothered to leave me feedback, then I do not leave feedback for them. (their loss)

Hi enrique07, welcome to the Forum. What help do you need?

There is a Help button (top right of the page)... Also, there is very useful information here on this link:

    http://www.ebid.net/forums/showthrea...527s+New+Users

Please come back and ask again if you cannot find or understand the help you need ~ you just need to give a little more detail about what the problem is.

Good Morning! It is just gone 7.30am here so there will be more folk about in a little while.

It's an experienced buyer, so should all be fine.
