I looked at Amazon payments for my own website. The rate is the same as PayPal (3.4% + 20p). For the first six months they pay out every 14 days and it takes 4 to 5 days to get to your account. That's OK I suppose if you are not unduly cash flow conscious. After six months you can, if you wish, have the money disbursed every day.

It will give PayPal some competition. So I figured I would go digging and pull up the Amazon Payment Fees page and found that their payment policies are somewhat the same as PayPal. Below are the links to the US and UK sites.

    Amazon Payments - US site.

    Amazon Payments -UK site

It's a definite must read if you're planning to use them for online payments. They do have a payment category called "Micropayment Discount" for payments under 10 dollars that's different from PP.

Interesting, the US fees are exactly what Paypal are charging me.

Amazon is no different from eBay or Paypal, they want as much money as they can get.

Yep, just the same as any other business in the world, even charities
My posts only state my own opinions, unless I've stolen them from someone else

When I was an Amazon seller I found them very slow to pay out. They stated 4-5 days but on a couple of occasions it was over a week and in one memorable occasion they did not pay me one month so I had to wait to the following month to receive it, ie 7 weeks after I sold the (high priced) item
