Default What I wanted to buy on ebid - but could not

The other day I wanted to buy something online.

I turned to our own TM here in NZ - nothing.
then I tried ebid - nothing,
Then I saw Amazon - lots
Then I tried ebay - lots

So I had to buy from ebay.

They were a soft carry case for my new Garmin GPS
And a bean bag dashboard mount for my new Garmin GPS.

    Just saying....

If you have spotted a gap in the inventory for sale on eBid, why not get some Germin GPS accessories stock yourself and start selling on eBid.

Instead of complaining, do something about it.

Turn a negative around to a positive.

    Be entrepreneurial.

Too many posts on this Forum creating a negative vibe about eBid.

My Dad was born in Hounslow!

I am living in New Zealand so it would not be feasible for me to buy them from China or the USA and then ship them back to the USA or the UK.

I do hope someone else sees an opportinty to sell thiis sort of stuff on ebid.

Isn't that the problem in a nut shell?
    Lost opportunities on here.

It's good to list what stock is missing from the site.
Now give a seller a good reason to list that stock.

And not one that has anything to do with "free" fees.

    Trade Me?

I have items which are good sellers in Aus / NZ and looked into setting up on there, but the terms state that you have to be a NZ resident to be a seller. How much do they enforce that and do you get international sellers on there anyway?

Trademe allow international buyers but not international sellers - they used to allow sellers but changed the rules. I was selling quite well there and I'm still irritated that they won't refund the money in my account (you have to prepay fees) or even give it to charity.

Wouldn't that be nice if we could do that.

I just noticed a gap in 1955 Mercedes Benz listings. Maybe an extreme example but could any of us fill that particular gap? Not really so the sellers of this particular item eBid has a gap in should be here listing not elsewhere.
Would/should we expect a Postcard seller to start selling iphones because they are a hot item? No, they are Postcard sellers, Julie sells coffee cup holders I sell/list cymbals why would anyone even think of suggesting a seller lists items they may not know anything about?

It is eBid's duty to fill the gaps and not up to individual sellers to change to fit eBid's needs. I would have to agree however if for some reason Zildjian was no longer the cymbal of choice for drummers I would and should switch to what is popular but still would be what I know.
