    Default Does anyone know...

...how to crimp these uninsulated spade terminals in the 'rolled crimp' fashion as per the image? I have two crimping tools and neither seem to be for this type. I know I can just squash them with a pair of pliers, but how are these crimps done properly (as you get on manufactured goods)?

I have searched the web but cannot find the info I want.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, it's a video on youtube showing a crimping tool used to fasten the terminal to the wire.

    Here is another.

Ta, so looks like I need another set of crimp pliers if I want a pretty crimp.

Yeah, they know how to take our money lol. Someone needs to invent one tool for all crimping purposes.

I don't think this type of connector is meant to be crimped. I use these for stereos and wiring not meant to have any stress.

My bad Astral. Are you crimping the electrical wires. If so have you checked the Grainger Co. They have a lot of tools for specialty projects.

Must be a real mess under your carpets at home.

I know I can make a serviceable joint, it just goes against my aircraft engineering background to do a less than spot on job - even on a lawn mower.
