    Default Hate some delivery firms

Expecting delivery by Yodel of a parcel today. I got a email saying delivery any time between 7am & 9pm. So sat here all day waiting.

Tracked online at 6.30 to find it had been taken back to depot as the driver could not access my house. My front door opens onto the road. No problem whatsoever to get to.

Going have to wait in all day tomorrow & hope he can find the time to deliver it.

    Delivery by Yokel then?

My son-in-law is in delivery, and he says some drivers say access problems when they can't be bothered.

If anyone is ever going to deliver something to me, please use the Post Office. They are the only people we have trained.

Totally agree. I was in the bathroom with the door open the other day, just fixing my hair. The front door is very close. I suddenly heard a package being squeezed through the letter box and dropped to the floor (wasnt supposed to go through the letter box and he nearly ripped that out forcing the package in. I open the door to find him there with the signy gadget. I said why didn't you knock or ring the bell. He said he did both and then fled quickly, liar Grr!

They all seem to be screwy sometimes. Had a package coming from Virginia (I'm in Georgia). Package went to Texas, then to California, then to somewhere in the mid-west (I forget exactly where), then to N.Carolina, then to Atlanta, and finally to me. Quite a tour of the country don't your think?

Yes, they really are! I was born in a small village named Fochriw, in Wales. ("ch" as in German "auch" and the "F" = English "V"). A letter was sent from London to an uncle of mine. This was long before the days of Post/Zip codes. It arrived some 18 months later having travelled via Foochow. But at least it reached him!

Last week I came home to a card from Royal Mail advising me a packet had been left on the front windowsill. I walked around the front of the bungalow twice thinking what a stupid place to leave it, someone must have pinched it ....... then I saw it on the inside of the windowsill - he'd dropped it through the small window I'd left open, even though it was clearly marked 'fragile handle with care'.
    Thankfully the contents weren't damaged!
