Post To Be Able to Edit Live Listing After A Purchase Has Been Made

    Hi,

At present you cannot edit the text of the listing if you have made a mistake after you have sold an Item.

Why is this it seems like a stupid idea to me as this feature is allowed on ebay.

The only thing that you can do is cancel the listing and relist it this seems a long winded way to do it but I see no other way.

Also when the first purchase has been made you cannot add other features or change best offer or anything else.

    Many Thanks
    ElectroTech

The content of a listing forms part of the contract between buyer and seller. Allowing sellers to alter a listing post sale would open a can of worms. There would be nothing to stop me listing gold rings and then after someone had bought and paid for some altering the listing to brass rings and sending those.

I quite agree, but it is a pain. Particularly with Bulk Edit as you don't know its been missed.

When a bid is made, the bidder has accepted the terms, description, price, etc., that you put in the listing - it's a contract.

It would not be right to change that after that acceptance, and is not accepted on Feebay - when a bid is made, the listing can't be changed.

Just imagine what scammers and fraudsters would do if this was permitted.

I understand what you have said and I 100% agree..... for others, you have to of done it to appreciate the problem.
In other words... have 10 to sell, you sold 1 done. Now you want to change info for the other 9... it can not be done without the cancel and relist.. wrong. You should be able to edit the listing.
