Show number of bids on auction

i believe it would be a benefit if potential buyers can see bids on each auction having bids, and the amount it's at

it shows interest in an item, hence others may put a bid in, or at least take a look at the item

That is one of the main things that have been requested for as long as I have been here but with on results, unless you consider NO a result.

This is by far a non-real auction site.. because without showing Bids to lookers when they scroll thru sub-categories.
There will NEVER be action here.

and the purpose of selling at auction is to let the market set the price for an item

know the item you’re listing

be honest with your description

Use quality photographs

explain any flaws. take photos of scratches, dents, scuffs, wear, etc

start at a realistic starting price, or the least your willing to take for the item

for me, i like listing one item a day

as if the site builds up action, we can get a paycheck everyday

would really love to see this feature added to ebid

i'm doing by best to help promote it

as lots of sellers and now buyers over there are whining,

or waiting for another auction site, to come on the scene

i say the solution is all ready here

Several years ago eBid did finally give us a bid column, after much asking from sellers, and most of us were delighted but after only a few months it was taken away again for reasons I still don't quite understand. I suppose it's because at that time more items were bought with 'buy it now' and the auction side of things looked rather sparse on such a small site.

Now that the site has grown much bigger I would love to see another trial run but every time the subject comes up nothing is done. I don't think bidding wars will ever get going here without a bid column which is a real shame.

I've not been here long but I have so far shied away from auction style listings because I am not convinced it will work for me. I have had some success on TOS as a result of bidding wars which have resulted in quite substantial profits on occasions. As others have pointed out, bidding wars are a rare occurrence here.
I do enjoy selling that way though but would much prefer to see a bid column.
