Thread: Iv just made my first sales!!

  1. #1

Default Iv just made my first sales!!

    Exciting times )

But how do I deal with it?

Does the buyer pay automatically, and will it show automatically? I'm using the app and it's very unclear. When will the buyers address be visible? And will they no my paypal details?

Step by step directions please as I havnt got a clue what to so now

    TIA

if you're lucky you'll receive a paypal payment, otherwise, you'll need to send an invoice ....this found in the after sale log, drop down panel....on the other hand don't get too excited as it may be a none payer.

    Hi, Thelovelocks2014 ,

Congrats on your sale, its feels great doesn't it.

You have some really lovely items.

As you only offer free postage ( sorry this really puts me off buying as we all know its not free ) do you offer a discount if someone buys 3 or 4 items ?

    Good luck julie.

If you do offer a discount then let people know. Far better to sell items 3 or 4 at a time. I have this in my listings, others have it as a notice at the top, something I will get round to adding to mine as it is more visible.

Congratulations on the sales. If it's several sales to the same buyer then you need to send them a combined invoice (including any discounts you might give) otherwise the buyer will have to pay for everything individually, which isn't good when it comes to Paypal fees for you ! The buyers contact details show at the bottom of each listing that is bought.

I really advise you to make contact with the buyer because if I was buying something from a newbie seller and didn't hear anything I might assume that it was a dump and run seller who had stopped attending to their items.

Congratulations Lovelocks, I remember how exciting it was.

I dont know how the mobile app works, far too new fangled for me. Assuming that you have entered all your paypal details into eBid, then they should be able to pay automatically, but, as Cornishmaid says, it may be better to send them an invoice (if that's possible on mobile) you can then put a message on that.

Congrats on your first sales, hope many more will follow.

I always use the buyer's postal address in Paypal (when Paypal is used for payment) as some of us, including myself don't have our full or correct postal address on eBid as it shows on the forums, if you look at my address it states 'Thurrock' rather than my actual home town, though all items sent using Thurrock in the address are getting to me due to the post code.
Also, you need to use the buyer's postal address in Paypal to qualify for Paypal seller protection.

Honest, reliable seller looking for honest, reliable buyers.

As i read the op's post it would appear that a theoretical sale has been made , yet a paypal was yet to be received...lets not overlook the fact that a sale isn't real until you receive the notification of payment received.
