Default Suggestion: Useful feature: Ability to offer quantity discounts

A sales enhancement for both stores and auction would be the ability to offer quantity discounts. Buy 1 of a certain good, you pay the posted price, buy 5 you could offer say a percentage or a flat dollar amount off. Buy 1 piece, you pay the posted price, buy 5 pieces and get 10% off or $5.00 off, etc. It has been well demonstrated that quantity discounts are attractive to customers who need to buy more than one of something.

You can do that in "my notices", advertise a special offer, we do that. We have something near the bottom of our about the seller page or whatever it is called giving more details on the special offer which we direct buyers to via the "notice" that appears on listings near the top. At the invoicing stage you can do the discounts as actual money or a percentage. You can advertise a special offer on the items themselves in the item description too as that is another way to offer and promote a special offer
“Doing business without proper advertising is like winking at a girl in the dark. You know what you are doing but nobody else does and the girl doesn't even know you're winking at her either."

I see the one where you can add a percentage discount for a period of time. My suggestion was more for a fuller schedule the customer could easily see. You can do 1-5, 6-10,11-24 pcs, etc. This would give ebid a lot more flexibility and would make an attractive sales feature for them. A customer can make their purchase and check out and be off.

We do that in our Picture Shop. We have a notice for that store only, it displays at the top of every listing.

Having the ability to look at a discount schedule, add the quantity wanted and just make the purchase is far easier for the customer and it's a feature found on many websites.
