Hi Red. May I ask? Was the Hospital St Georges, or St Helier?

I'm in St Georges Benjamin Weir Ward.

Ok, I just thought I would ask, I know someone in St Helier's you see.
The hospitals in south London really seem to be understaffed in the wards.
My younger brother was in St Helier's a year ago and the Doctors and staff were magnificent but the poor nurses always had at least two other places that they were meant to be.
I have not been in St Georges for about ten years. Last time I was there I was admitted to the orthodontic university department with a tragic attack of trench mouth (don't ask) brought on by stress..

Not too worried about the op is the standard of Nursing/cleaning I'm more scared off. For example on my first night I used the bathroom (Remember this is a Surgical Heart unit) I found **** on the floor seat and sink! (Used by all) which I reported and got the reply Oh we cant clean it after every patient uses! 20 Hours Later the floor and seat are cleaned by a cleaner
but the spot of **** on the sink was still there!. Gave up in the end cleaned everything Although I'm under instructions not to walk like 20 foot!

also I have medication prescribed by doctor so far I have missed FOUR Doses because pharmacy haven't sent them up

that is really bad about the hygiene in the bathroom infact the excuse they use is terrible.

Last Sunday I had heart attack ..... I now need a quad bypass operation which hopefully will take place Monday.

I hope all goes well for you Rednosty. I went into hospital on the 5th August following my second heart attack and had 4 stents this time and was discharged 24hrs later unfortunately i had to be readmitted 2 days later as i got caught a bug called C Diff i was kept in another 2 weeks and discharged again only for the bug to come back and i spent another 5 days although this time i went to a cleaner hospital.Thankfully i am ok now although i am still on antibiotics.You should make a formal complaint about the hygiene to the CEO and your MP.
