My lovely man has been following these threads tonight and has just commented how impressed he is with the polite and respectful behaviour of the people on the eBid forums...xxx

There is no-one's name on it. It says "A YDC Hero" - A not THE. I had planned if it was successful to list one for each YDC with the number of the YDC on the back of it.
    but
    1. It was not very successful
    2. Moonie couldn't decide who she wanted to choose so asked for suggestions.

As far as I see it the final decision is Moonie's. There was a nomination thread and only 2 folk were chosen. Gill you could have added a suggestion to that thread.
No it didn't run long. I want to just get my YDC things posted before I take ill again or yet another disaster befalls us and I am unable to get out as I have been bedridden for most of september.
I now wish i had never listed the blooming thing!
Hey Penni.....it's really cool that you dropped by.

No-one among those who voted or sent me nomination suggestions has complained about either your very generous gesture nor the way I have gone about finding someone to have the tankard.

YDC 125 should be all about your fundraising attempt that has been very successful from what I have seen.

Please don't let anything get in the way of that....and I really hope you have a better time of it in October xx

Thanks Moonie. I didn't think anyone had complained except Gill, whom I think possibly hadn't read the original listing.
If Gill or any of our wonderful overseas YDC supporters had wanted to choose who it went to, they could have, as Hurry did, put in a bid, then it would have been theirs to gift to whoever they choose.
This is going to be my last comment except to say that I think everyone who regularly takes part either as a bidder or a seller is a YDC hero.

also i keep editing my posts and adding bits

Well, I'm in the USA and I'm perfectly happy with the way things have gone so far, no complaints from me.

I'm in the US and assumed that everyone there could read the same post as me. I voted for Meebo as I felt she deserved it as much or more than anyone I know.

One of the many great things about eBid is that we dont differentiate between countries, there is no 'them and us' its just 'us' and we are all here together.
So I would imagine that it would not have occurred to anyone that there was any discrimination, because there wasn't any.

Thanks for that reply. You said what I was thinking and in a way so much better than I would have put it.
