Apart from a short stretch with nochex the only online payment I've accepted has been pppay.
41 transactions have gone through with only a handful causing problems in the early days.
One downside is,there doesn't seem a way to give/receive refunds.

Paypal is not a universal payment system. Try selling a Persian rug and Paypal will tell you that you have infringed their conditions as sales of goods from Iran are banned.
    So Pppay had its uses.

Never had the need to use PPPay yet....but it really would be nice to pay ebid by it rather than funding TOS

    It is,actually.
I paid for an item with pppay that turned out to be faulty & I want a refund. The only way I can see how to do it is if he sends me a new payment to cover the amount.

But that is still a refund, isn't it?

I offer both, and leave it up to the buyer. As much as I'd like to be able to dictate, I can't afford to lose sales by not offering either one.
Go on, help me leave work and get the shop I've always wanted!!

In effect, yes. However it would incur fees whereas a refund wouldn't or shouldn't.(I don't think it does on poopal)

Ahhhh... I was working from (clearly a failing) memory. I thought that internal transfers didn't incur a charge. Then, yes, another reason not to use it.

I suppose if PPPay incur a fee then that must be passed on. I don't think you can class them as the same thing as PayPal. I believe they are a different type of financial service so all things are not equal.
