doubt it, been there all day with the link, and the comments asking it to be removed, funny how i had just suggested how the jist of it could remain without it being in anyway breaking any forum rules, it could of also been removed by the op himself!

I think more likely the 2 long posts from Tools, not only mention TOS but other online selling platforms too. Those long posts from Tools can be found in a link on TOS boards.

I read the thread yesterday and logged in today to add a post.

I read the bit about removing the TOS link and censorship and thought it was a joke. Now I realise it wasn't. But why? I didn't think the link was pro-ebay and in the context of the thread which was about why various people had left TOS would have been given short shrift anyway.

I thought the point of the board was to discuss anything and as long as the discussion was polite and without overt advertising of other sites was OK.

Obviously not, but I don't see why the whole thread was removed.

I have a feeling that it depends on who is 'manning the desk'. I have gained the impression over time that a certain staff member is quick to kill threads.

I hope it wasn't my Longggggg post I did, I know it had a lot about other sites but they had to be there because it was about what the OP was questioning.
