Thread: Negative feedback.

  1. #1

    Default Negative feedback.

Is negative feedback for life or is it removed after a certain time period?

it is never removed but once you have a level of feedback that means the negative falls below 1% then your feedback will read 100%. If you are not sure what I mean look at mine. I have 100% but i got a negative a long time ago but it no longer counts

I'd heard that you could write to support to ask for the negative to be removed, if it was given unjustly, or as retaliation. Of course I could be mistaken, I often am...

Best wishes for many sales to all,

Negatives and neutrals are for life but as Sue says if you feel a negative is unjust then you can email support and ask them to review it. They will remove it if they deem it unfair, the support team here are very good.

Also if a situation changes, for example, if a non payer were suddenly to pay up and give a good reason for the delay you can change the negative given previously back to a positive yourself. That is the beauty of eBid feedback.

Mmmm.... so this works well for those selling multiple 25p items but discriminates against sellers who sell higher value antique items less often. This is not a fair system.

I had 38 negs removed recently which were left unjustly. (the items were lost in the post, the buyer got a full refund plus p&p but still left negs! needless to say that buyer cannot purchase from me again.

feedback is outdated and the review system should replace it.

What might be good is to give potential buyers the option of viewing feedback over 1 month, 6 months, 12 months and all feedback. Feedback over a certain time can become rather irrelevant.

exactly it becomes irrelevant and time consuming for both buyer and seller especially on multi purchases. I think someone else commented on another post about this.

But there again kreativebargins if we were to view 1 months feedback some may fall foul of the 38 negs syndrome!!! (before ebid comes to the rescue)

Maybe short reviews are the answer (one review left for a multi purchase perhaps?)
