Had to laugh why advertise another site

why would a auction site advertise another auction site ? Mad just seen a advert for what used be called play.com crazy it might be a good idea be for sellers on ebid to advertise on ebid crazy i would be happy to advertise on the front page my ebid stores and pay per click though i just think its mad to advertise another selling site ebid need to look after there own members before advertising another platform mad

I offer the same service why would ebid advertise another selling site when they could advertise their own sellers shops thats the point ebid need to start thinking about ebid everything ebid does should be for there business to grow this is not going to happen when advertising another site why bother buying on ebid when i can get the items on the other site ebid need to start thinking of there own sellers and shops

The solution has already been given by Madelaine at #2.

eBid does not place the ads, they gain revenue by accepting a feed of advertisements from an external agency (likely Google). They are not pre-advised of what adverts will be fed but can decline adverts. If eBid are made aware that an unsuitable advert is being fed then they can block it (if they agree).

So the two options are continue to discuss the issue or bring it to eBid's attention directly and get the issue resolved.

One of the adverts was advertising 'the dark side' the other day. I was moving from A to B so only quickly saw it, not seen it since to be able to gather any info about it to pass on...

advertising the dark side?....in all honesty?......does anyone really imagine that a brief banner ad promoting the leading online selling platform is going to be to Ebid's detriment?.....is there anyone currently using Ebid who hasn't already heard of E££Y, AM££ON?....is there really anything to be concerned about?.

Ebid have looked for new ways to bring a little extra revenue to the site, and this is one of those ways....i don't see an issue or a conflict.
