the hours of actually getting there , bus and train, being stung by something and taken into boots to be treated, the pleasure beach i think it was called, southport

i remember them boards people stuck there head through for photos, pleasure land , that was it, and behind were your photo was took is a bandstand?

used to go back up until 10years ago, but they have all died out now, ( the family) its a very good area for junk/antique shops

It's sad that you missed out on building sandcastles with a bucket & spade .... decorating them with shells, making a moat around them & filling them with sea water.

Or getting "buried" vertically up to your neck in the sand and a photo taken of you!
