    Default Not sure what to do

    I sold something two weeks ago to new buyer that paid immediately. Her paypal address is different to the address that she entered on eBid, so I sent her a message explaining that I would need to send it to her paypal address but have not heard anything from her. I have followed this up with emails to her email address but still nothing.
    My dilemma is that if I send it to her paypal address and she no longer lives there, she may not get it but if I dont send it to her paypal address and there is a problem, I may lose out.

    I am thinking that I should just refund her and list it again but that seems a shame, its also a Christmas item, so may be running out of time to sell it again.

    I did have another buyer last week that messaged me as soon as she spotted that the paypal address was an old one and I didn't worry about that one.

    Any thoughts?

    send it to the paypal address signed for then you have proof you sent it

    Did you use the ASL messaging system and copy by email - adding a note on the ASL that you have done so?

    I do this in case the eBid message gets lost in recipient's spam folder.

    I sent the first message through the ASL and and then sent 2 emails direct to her email address.

    Had the same problem over the last two weeks - not sure if they were moving house, worked offshore, had illness or what so sent ASLs and emails and waited - eventually 2 weeks later (yesterday) I got an email asking if I had posted their item. Explained about different addresses. He explained he only joined eBid to buy my item and that he had used his 'spam' email address which he did not check regularly. Anyway all sorted out very nicely and I posted it today.

    However - The correct address he wished was the eBid one, not the PayPal!!! Glad I waited. I was going to leave it another week then refund the money through PayPal. Would rather return the money than lose the item and/or become involved in a dispute.

    Same thing happend to me recently too and the correct address turned out to be the eBid one not PayPal so I would agree with Cats - send a couple more prompts then if you still don't hear, give a refund

    I never check the PayPal address and so never have this dilemma
    I've never had a parcel go to the wrong address either

    Don't ship anything until you have clarity about the postal address, no matter how long it takes.

    Same here...don't recall ever checking paypal addresses when selling on eBid.

    If you google the email address and/or the postal address you might eventually get to a phone number.Failing that send a message to support explaining the situation & ask for the phone number they registered when they joined.
