The thing is with a heart attack is that it can be fixed!

I had one last Friday A Big one! To begin with It was scary as hell. 5 hours of unrelenting pain as incompetent nincompoops tried to decide what was "Really" the matter with me. Anyway after 5 hours of dithering they hit me with a dose of morphine and I floated away to a pain free sleep.

I awoke more or less pain free. The pain across my chest and down one arm had abated. But................ (This is really scary and as funny as hell!) As I still had pain down my left arm the proceeded to massage the area with deep heat cream! Excuse me ? Use Morphine to lift me body and soul out of pain. Then use deep heat cream to finish the job?

Within another couple of hours I was outa there and under blue lights taken to a proper coronary care unit at James Cook Hospital.
I had a proper diagnosis within hours and was on the list for the next day. Surgeons fired off letters demanding an explanation for this fiasco.
I'd had a blocked main artery . This was fixed by placing what the call a "stet" inside the artery and opening it back up.

I may be lucky to be alive but all I have to do now is rest. Damian is still fighting to stay alive in an uncertain situation.

And if he has to keep his pecker up to do it then so be it!

YIKES Hope your OK Making my two sounding minor (I didn't even know I had had them until I had the Angiogram But they must have felt it was serious enough to keep me in (telling me not to move around) then Operate 10 days later. There was no real pain for me more like Wind. Heart attacks can't always be fixed you know!

    Hi Damian,

I suspect that you are a man of your word. But I have been pondering if you meant what you said literally.

You are entitled to throw major whinges, and hissy fits. Your alternate can shout you down with a verbal command. And major depression is not unheard of in situations such as yours; as a matter of fact it is a normal part of the grieving process. Your grieving the loss of many things, that are impacting every area of your life (body, mind, and spirit).

But honestly my man, you are scaring the day lights out of all of us by your silence. Could you please strike a compromise with your alter self (Steele), and post an update of some sort, be it good, bad, or indifferent.

    TY muchly!
