It really is quite humbling to see so many supportive comments from you good people. Thank you.

Well today is, so far and on balance, a good day. For the first time since my drug reaction I did not feel sick when I woke and that meant I could face eating breakfast. It's a small step that's also quite large.

Oh, you wouldn't believe how many dozens of different doctors and nurses have been to see me. It has been like being drowned in a sea of blue uniforms. So many different departments are involved in my treatment I can not keep up. They have all brilliant, I can not praise them enough. In case you are wondering, I am in Torbay Hospital in Torquay. So if you are going to come down with a serious illness, you might want to consider having it here.

Anyway, that is all for now.

wow great positive news. Won't be long before you will be complaining about
hospital food. . Fingers crossed the worst is over and on the way to full recovery.

My infection has spread to my other leg, the antibiotics have given me diarrhoea, both hands have swollen up and keep cramping so badly I can't do anything with them.

But I still do not feel sick. So that's good.
