But Rajoy failed to win a majority in elections on Sunday and, so far, the other parties have said that they will not work with Rajoy. So watch this space.

Irrelevant, Spain is just one. The majority consensus was that they would not interfere in the internal politics of another country. Even the EU is not that powerful or stupid to do that openly.

Also, why would they be interested in Scotland? Just another country that would be a net drain on the EU. The SNP are really like spoiled children who want all the best toys going but don't want to pay for them and throwing tantrums when they are told 'No!'.
