    Default Can't pay need help

I recently bought a book on this site unfortunately before I bid I didn't check the seller's payment options. When the auction was over I realized that the seller did not have anything set up for payments. There is also nothing set up on their "About Page". I contacted the buyer asking if they accepted Pay Pal. They said they did and that they had to figure out how to accept payments through ebid. I suggested that they send me an invoice through Pay Pal. They have been very slow to get back to me - haven't responded to my request of an invoice through pay pal - Have given me a web address to pay that doesn't work - given me a payment reminder but have not informed me of the payment options. It has been nearly two weeks. I could walk them through sending an invoice because I have do it many times but they have never responded to the invoice request through pay pal in any way. Is there a way to cancel this sale? Even if I were to pay, I don't think I would ever get my book.

Sorry to hear the seller isn't being more responsive. I've had the same thing happen. Ended up asking the seller to just cancel the sale (insert reason), Sorry, and thank you very much. It might either spur them to get back to you, or they might cancel. I hope you can work it out some way, as it's very frustrating.
    Ta-Ta for now!

Are they seller+ or just an ordinary seller ? If they are not seller+ then they cannot invoice you via eBid they would have to send you a money request direct from Paypal.

If they are seller+ maybe they forgot to tick the Paypal box when listing. Sorry you are having this hassle it is frustrating ! I hope you get some joy one way or the other.

Try giving them your email addy registered with your Paypal account and have invoice sent that way from their Paypal account.

Agree with HerMajesty, I'd ask them to cancel the sale, as you've gone above and beyond what most buyers would do and still gotten no satisfaction. I'm guessing you'd have to nag and nag to get your book, too, which isn't exactly an ideal situation IMHO.

You might want to report the incident to eBid as well, as it sounds to me like the seller isn't doing his/her bit and eBid should know about this.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

I gave them my e-mail for pay pal early on but they never commented on my requests for an invoice from pap pal. They don't have a store. I didn't realize that they could not invoice me through ebid. You learn something new everyday. I requested that they cancel the sale but have not heard back thus far. I am sure it will be a few days before anything happens.

Id cancel the sale and if you receive neg/neutral feedback i would ask ebid to remove it.

Don't think you can cancel a sale if you are the buyer.

I'm in a similar position as OP with no contact at all from seller despite many requests for an invoice. Just checked the ASL and no option for cancellation, so I'm just leaving it. He'll get charged FVF and wonder what for as he has hasn't been on site for months.

In such situations I think it best to send the seller a message via the ASL (so there is a record of it held by eBid) setting out the issues and containing something like "If I receive no communication from you by date/time I will consider the transaction void and not proceed further or contact you again.". That gives the seller a deadline and places it on record at eBid.
