Vonz is in hospital

Good Morning all ......

Third lot of chemo done & dusted last week .... and i'm feeling positively wrecked!
Apparently, one of my tumors is showing a "significant reduction" in size ... but when I asked what difference it would make ... I didn't get a coherent answer. Time will tell I suppose.

Next major step, i'm having (what's left of) my hair shaved off! Not a buzz cut though, just about an inch long all over.
I'm not bothered what it looks like but it will be nice to have a meal and not have bits of hair falling into it!

It is the steroids that are causing the most grief, i am piling weight on and feel very uncomfortable. Shoes are a thing of the past ... can't get them on my feet at all cos of all the swelling.

But, on the plus side .... i'm still here to tell the tale (can't believe it's been two months already).
I do suffer from "brain mush" on a daily basis, but I think i've done enough to get "all my affairs in order".
Only the dreaded VAT return to complete ... then i'm all sorted!

Of course, things wouldn't be normal without varying degrees of mayhem ......... the house tumble drier sounds like a bag of hammers ..... neither of the garage door remotes will work ..... the shop industrial washing machine has given up & someone has smacked the back of my van & broken the big lens cover. Hey ho .... another day in paradise lol

Time for my bunk now methinks
& fresh as a daisy tomorrow!!

Great to hear you are still fighting, although I am sure there are days you want to throw in the towel. and I do remember the feeling of dropping hairs - waking up in the morning and having to get the hoover out to clear the pillow. I gave in after just a week of it and shaved the lot. It was such a relief. And keep fighting

Good news vonz, even if you didn't get a reply from them that you could make any sense off, it's going smaller and thats good.
All the other stuff like the dryer and the washer, van and garage doors, well thats just been sent to keep you occupied and give you summat else to worry about instead, i find that him up there has a very wicked and warped sense of humour. Keep up the good work girly and one day soon someone will stop peeing on your cornflakes. XX

Good to hear from You Vonz we no how you & remember the hair falling out & it was so much easier once it shaved off, as Buttons said all the other things playing up are to keep your mind active, I still have a chemo brain every so ofton, Glad you have manage to sort everything it certainly does makes you put things in order Take care.

Vonz, glad you're still fighting this thing, you will win, as my Mom did and be around for a good long time to come.

IMHO hair is overrated, shorter is much cuter.
