Well done Vonz, you are doing well, certainly the radiotheraphy is good, Can be very helfpfull, its prepartion time that takes it, have they drawn funny dots to line it up.

Oh yes, I am no longer a tattoo free zone! Think I have about 6 lots of little triangles.

The technicians didn't seem too impressed with my mask though ..... I could still move even after i'd been bolted to the table! But because I managed to stay absolutely stock still while they did the scan ..... it's not being remade before the radiotherapy starts. First session is on June 9th, then every day for the next two weeks.

Well, my little dots (tattoos) I keep forgetting about. and then I notice this black speck and start rubbing....One day the skin will come away. They are certainly the cleanest part s of my body

Dropping by with the latest update .......
Radiotherapy is abandoned for the time being!

1st session wasn't too bad ..... a few deep breaths and I imagined that I was having some mega expensive treatment in a luxury health spa lol

2nd session was a complete disaster - THE MASK - a major panic attack and I was screaming to have it taken off!
It's not a very pleasant experience, being throttled & bolted down at the same time!
I thought I was made of strong stuff but i'm not. A wimp, a wuss ....... I don't give a rats what anyone calls me .... it was ruddy awfull!!

By now i've come to an agreement with the consultant ...... no mask ..... RESULT!!

The 3rd session was ok but I didn't feel too clever .....

By the next day I was in hospital, sickness, palpitations, faints you name it I had it.
Managed a few days back at home then wham ...... back in hospital again .... raging sickness & dehydrated.
They let me go after a few bags of fluid & a change to the sickness meds.

Hopefully i'll lose some weight, i've had nothing to eat for a week now .... ice cold water is as much as I can tolerate.

So, no more radiotherapy until i'm well enough to cope with it ..... but i'm still considering whether to have any more or not.

I soooo want to be upbeat about this sorry mess but it's pretty impossible atm.

Poor Vonz, I'm so sorry to hear this but I'm sure once you've had a few days recovery you'll be posting upbeat messages again. I do hope so ((hugs))

Don't try and make any decisions now Vonz when you are still weak and recovering from the last bout. Try and put it out of your head for a couple of days and relax and get some strength back first.

You should be very proud of yourself that you have got this far.

We are all in awe of you !
