Vonz is in hospital

The biggest issue seems to be infection control.

Tell us about it..... Pam passed out one evening while she was in the middle of her Chemo...... A quick 999 call later we had 3 paramedics in her bedroom umming and arring about if it was safe to take us to the hospital..... to start with there was too many people in A&E to risk it, then a while later the hospital phoned them back saying they could now bring her in as it was quite now and they could take her into the resus unit. We both laugh about it now but at the time it was no joking matter.

I did sleep a lot during the chemo sessions, Also read and knitted, but sleeping was the preferred occupation

Not such a good day today .... but this weekends chemo is done!!

I did well yesterday though, bagged myself THREE YDC's .. yesssssss!!

Way to go, Vonz!! Thanks for the updates, I am still thinking of you and wishing you well. I have heard that when your hair comes back in, it is fuller than before it left. I could stand that myself.

This is true, at least that's what happened to my Mom; at 83, her hair is nicer than mine.

Vonz, glad to hear you're doing well with the chemo, hang in there, we're all rooting for you. Congrats on your YDC wins, you deserve em.

It might be helpful to know that the reason hair falls out is because chemo drugs target fast dividing cells and hair follicles are some of the fastest dividing cells in the body. So your hair falling out is a sign that the drug is doing its job! This might (only might.. it's not happening to me so I cannot know) be a helpful way to think about it.
