Thread: Thico mobile question

  1. #1

    Default Thico mobile question

Do you have to keep topping a phone up even though you are not using it with 02 BTW. I put £20 on a bit back and never used it, and now it is just saying i can have emergency calls only and someone needs to send me a text on Friday to deliver something. stupid things

I've never heard of that Buttons. Credit is credit until it's spent?
I put £5 on mine over a year ago..... still going strong as I only use it when absolutely necessary.

I'm with T-Mobile but I think that shouldn't make any difference?

I think with my Virgin Media PAYG if you do not use the phone for three months then it deactivates and you have to top-up to reactivate it. Any amount that was there is still there + the top-up. Bit of a PITA as I only use it when travelling (which I do less and less of as the years pass).

I have a calendar event set to remind me to use it every few months.

Well I thought if i put 20 on it and didn't use it that it would be there if I need it

Just tried it again and the first thing it says is security failure and the next thing is emergency calls only.

From my old memory I had the same problem with O2. I thought I had a payg tariff but found it was a monthly top-up tariff so I was being charged for contact whether it be text or calls . I used my balance on the O2 network and switched to an Orange PAYG with an initial £10 payment and it still has £5 available. That was 12/18 months ago.

Emergency calls only usually means that you are not connected to the network somehow.

it means buttons you have been touching buttons perhaps you should not have done

find reset default setting factory setting and enable this might allow you to use the bone again
