England is now a far better, happier, and safer country than it was in the 50s 60s and 70s.

That was when we could go to bed & leave our doors unlocked. Go out in the evening without fear of being mugged or attacked. Leave our bikes outside & know it would be there next morning, Its much safer now. We oldies are afraid to go out after tea, we have to bolt our doors & windows & make sure everything is locked away in the garden hut with a lock on. Mmmmmmm

Looking on other selling and commercial store sites (purely in the interest of research of course) such items do not appear to be segregated out and hidden away as 'adult' content.

I think it depends on definition of smut. I view open crotch underwear as erotic, and harmless, I have worn them myself in bedroom scenes in my younger years. I think nothing of having a look in Ann Summers when I go to Lakeside, to me, it's no different than browsing in any other high street shop, not that I buy much now, though I do wish Ann Summers shops were around when I was younger, that they weren't I think shows how times have changed, as a society I think we are mostly more broad minded than we used to be.

I routinely search for adult items listed outside the adult section and report them.

When I find multiple items from the same seller it is usual for only the actual item I report to be removed.

I'm bored with this. Removing unsuitable items is in all our interests but the site owners are the people who benefit most. As I have said before, if eBid gets really bit, they will be millionaires, the rest of us will just have more sales. So they or their employees need to take seriously the business of keeping the site clean.

When I check the "multiple items" box, please can all the items be removed first time?

This should not just apply to adult items but to all reported items.

Every reported listing is reviewed by a human. Multiple items are also looked into and are never ignored.

If you are referring to the knickers then if they are being modelled then obviously they will be removed as this takes them into the over 18/pornographic/adult realms. If they are not being modelled then the answer is a lot more ambiguous. Some members of society will deem them to be adult in nature, some will not.

We deal with millions and millions of items on eBid and the laws of humanity mean we will never ever be able to keep everyone happy. We take your opinion very seriously but as I hope you can understand we cannot run our company based on the wishes of a single member. This is the first time I've come across this specific example and would be interested to hear what others think.

eBid has always been a democratic company and as you well know have and will always make changes that make our members happy if we are morally, legally and financially able to. If you wish to start a poll we will take on board any results that a broad sample of voters give us.

Wearing or using an item doesn't make it something you want to show your children, for example.

No, but then eBid search isn't like a Google search, where you can enter something innocent in the search box and get lots of unsuitable pornographic results. I find eBid search to be very specific, you would only come across crotchless underwear if you searched for them so I think unlikely to accidentally come across them.
As I'm now in my mid fifties I no longer buy or wear such items, I didn't even know they were available on eBid until they were mentioned in this thread. I do wonder how much advertising these items are getting through this thread and the poll.
