Hello,

My name is donovin and I recently joined eBid. I has a question for those who are sellers and use PayPal. Is there a hold of funds from PayPal through this site? I know eBay does that. I wanted to know if that happens on eBid. Do they want you to sell a certain amount of items before they release the hold on your payment from the buyer? If anybody could help me, I'd appreciate it.

As far as I am aware, the holding of funds is covered by your User Agreement with PayPal. As such they could invoke the restriction on your account anywhere you use them as a payment processor.

Hi and welcome to eBid. As stated above, eBid doesn't withhold funds. I don't know about Paypal, I've never had that experience, but that doesn't mean it can't happen, just that it hasn't happened to me.

Until you a established seller with PayPal your funds will be held, it was eBay who implemented the idea to make eBay a safer place to buy but, eBay have split (or going to) from PayPal so the power is now down to PayPal, not only that if your buyer wants to go by the rules set out by PayPal they can return there item after 160 day or 6 month, just giving you the heads up on that one.

So providing your a good seller you have nothing to worry about, to make it quiker to get your money always used a tracking postage and upload the tracking number to your paypal account, when your item is delivered e-mail paypal to let them know and providing your customer doesn't complain upto 3 days after delivery they will then release your money.
