Official eBid tape - Don't understand Please explain!

I would have thought it in the best interests of the site to have this & other like products freely available for sale + postage, to help promote the site (to seller members only - if you like)
Instead, we have the ridiculous situation of a long list of members vying for a miserable 5 rolls, albeit for Buddy points & free shipping. They also have to wait a month to find out if they get one or not
Most on that list are going to be disappointed, & others, like me, won't even bother trying!
I believe it to be counter productive to site promotion NOT to have these items freely available - or is there some reason I'm missing why they are not
Just how many members are there who are missing out???
Imagine how many more parcels there could be, carrying the eBid brand winging their way across the globe!
An answer from da boyz would be nice!

You make an excellent point and I agree, it's a missed opportunity for free eBid advertising, especially in places like the U.S. where there are a lot of folks who haven't heard of eBid.

Maybe support will see this and consider offering the eBid parcel tape for sale, in addition to offering it on buddy auctions, I'm betting they'd have more than a few customers.

Yes - it's also an embarrassment when I had to print shipping labels from PayPal a few times, and the label spat out the EEEE word on it large as life and plain as day. (We know why!) I did cut a sticker off a package from something I bought across the pond, and pasted it over the EEEE word. It looked lousy, too.

If the site is being revamped (I'm sure I read that somewhere) then surely it's pointless for 1,000's of rolls to be listed if the logo will be changed in the revamp.

Has anyone looked into printing rolls of tape?

who does get to see the parcel tape, two people who already know about ebid and the postal workers, maybe a friend or neibours , ok its better than nothing and i agree it should be available to those who wish to buy it rather than bid for it with buddy points, was it also available at cash auction as well, maybe im wrong on that, , the tee shirts and caps would been seen more, id like to see them on BINs ,

I use the eBid tape to seal envelopes for items I sell on ebay, like you say, eBid buyers already know about eBid, so I use plain or parcel tape for eBid buyers.

I don't wear T-shirts, or caps, I would wear a polo shirts, I'd also like eBid logo pin badges, pens and keyrings.

i like the polo shirt ,tee shirt, cap,pens and things form of advertising, its not very one on one unless the viewer makes it so, its indiscriminate in its nature, a picture glanced at and easy to remember, i dont feel pressurised yet i might look,

I'd like stickers - to put on mailers, to cover EEEEE-BEH-BEH when I use PayPal postage, and to go with my EHHHHHHTSEEEEEE sales. We need some advertising here in The USA: Sunday Games Day TV or Radio spots. Costly, I know - but just putting' it out there.
