Instead, we have the ridiculous situation of a long list of members vying for a miserable 5 rolls, albeit for Buddy points & free shipping. They also have to wait a month to find out if they get one or not
Most on that list are going to be disappointed, & others, like me, won't even bother trying!
I believe it to be counter productive to site promotion NOT to have these items freely available - or is there some reason I'm missing why they are not
Just how many members are there who are missing out???
Imagine how many more parcels there could be, carrying the eBid brand winging their way across the globe!
An answer from da boyz would be nice!
I was told by admin that they wanted to see if there was enough interest in the ebid parcel tape!

At the moment there are 10 people interested in the tape and most would like all 5 rolls of tape each, if these sellers sell at other venues then to me it makes sense for all of these 10 people to get at least 1 roll each if not more.

Buyers notice the tape probably more than business cards and flyers. Cards and flyers can be thrown away without the buyer even reading them. With the tape they are forced to look at it when they open their packages.

I've never understood the listing of a few rolls of tape when a permanent, buy it now listing for as much as I am prepared to pay for should be available.

I don't think I would use eBid tape, even if it was more freely available:

I would be concerned about the security implications. The parcel would scream "Here is something (possibly valuable) bought on an auction site"

There are parts of the world where many parcels disappear through corrupt postal workers, and you are advised to make parcels as innoccuous as possible. And use miles of tape to make it difficult to open.

It doesn't matter; they just slice it anyway.

Regarding the printing of labels, i bought a Brother ql570 around £30, the software is really simple to use, you can add logos and pictures, albeit only black & white, to any label, if you buy continuous roll label for around £5 for 30metre you can print as long or short label you want, it prints fast and cuts the labels as it goes. And 30mtre lasts forever and I use it for lots of things round the house like my homemade jam

    Just thinking aloud here ......

Can we move this thread to "website suggestions" & put a poll on it to see how many peeps would buy the tape if it was for sale?
