I am so very sorry to have to break the very sad news that our dear Gillian passed peacefully away at 1.30am this morning.

She had been battling so bravely with pancreatic cancer since before Christmas and wasn't given long but she was determined to survive to see the daffodils bloom and she did with fortitude and courage.

The last month was difficult as she had also had a stroke but she still managed to say a few words on the phone. It has been a privilege to know you Gillian with your generosity, warmth and terrific sense of humour and I will miss you.

My thoughts are with her husband David and her sons. May you rest in peace dear Gill.

I will miss her kindness, patience and insight. She was a lovely, personable, creative and witty friend who was always up for a chat. Her support of the YDC charity auctions was always whole-hearted. She will be truly missed.

i remember well Gillian talking about her husbands hobbies, im glad she lived to see her last wish, im very sorry this has happened.
