Thread: Sad times

I don't think business is very good whatever you sell Red. My sales on the Belgium site have all but died, a lot of the cards I list on TOS don't sell.

In fact the only site I sell well on is here and although I appear in the popular listings a lot recently, we had to spend over £3,000 on the cards we are selling and it will take quite a while before we even brake even let alone make a profit..

I still have and use my watch that I bought from H Samuel back in the 1990's. It's an Accurist chronograph watch, strap and everything made from Titanium so it is very light in weight on the wrist compared to other metal watches of the same style. Red face which works well with the colour of the Titanium. Love my watch. I would not change it for anything while it still works but I do look after my watch like I look after all my nice expensive things.

I use my phone for what a phone is supposed to be used for, calls and texting, and never use it for the internet despite it being more than capable of doing all that nonsense. I have a Nokia N96 and I no longer have a wind up/battery/mains supplied alarm clock as my phone has a built in daily alarm which always wakes me without fail unlike alarm clocks that would ring for 5 minutes or more before waking me lol. It must be physiological, the phone is ringing!

The mobile phone has had a negative impact on a few things over the years like people sat around a table having a meal (home or restaurant) all messing about with their phones. And it is nothing important either, just sheep wasting their lives following other sheep wasting their lives on social media. Ooh I'm in a restaurant, I must take a hundred pictures and keep all the sheep updated on Twitter. So sad...

I haven't worn a watch for must be 8+ years but I'm often walking Murphy and wondering what time it is so I had a look at your listings. Like another member said they are all amalgamated into ladies or gents for instance.

No sizes of the dial width/diameter, length of strap etc. - the pic can often make a buyer think the dial is bigger than the actual item.

When you list watches with leather straps you are not showing a picture of the complete strap or stating the length or condition within the listing.

Make cats for ladies: plain, bling etc.

I saw a couple of watches that I was interested in but the lack of size, condition, length of strap and further pics showing the condition put me off buying.

My suggestion would be DON'T GIVE UP but to revisit each listing, make changes and more pics. When this has been done, I will look at the 2 favourites I had in mind or I could buy now and you make nothing.

Excellent advice thank you Maybe your right and I should be taking more time over each listing. But with 600 Odd its going take a lot of time.

Just do a few at a time there is no rush to do them in a day/week/month (maybe not a year though)

I worked with a fellow for 20 years. He never wore a watch, however always asked me what the time was so he wouldn't miss a break, lunch or quitting time.
