What Mel said. I think Paypal gives you 30 days to file a claim, unless they've changed the time frame again.

It use to be 45 days to file a claim with paypal, but now they have increased it to 180 days to file a claim.

Then according to the above info. from Haley you have 180 days to file a claim, plenty of time. If it were me, I'd fire off a few e mails and ask a question on the ASL and give it a few days before filing, though I do think based on what you've said and others have experienced you'll probably need to file a claim to get your money back.
