    Default Sold but not paid

I sold an item Monday but the buyer has not paid. Usually the buyer pays pretty much straight away. How long should I give them to pay? Thanks

I would send 2 payment reminders - leaving a couple of days or so in between each one. Then follow the NPB route if there is no response.

If this is a return buyer, then they may just be away from their PC for a number of reasons, or they have had other things happen.

Personally I would wait at least 3 days (starting day after sale) then either email them direct as they have purchased from you before or use the ASL and send a payment reminder. Again, on a personal basis I would email a return customer first rather than sending a payment reminder.

Even though you are an "individual" seller rather than a business, I would still have some T&C's on your all about page stating how long someone has to make payment, that could save you some time in the future

the last few things i bought on ebid, i went to PP to pay and was told i could defer payment up to two weeks,

    i paid straight away,

it does mean when i start selling again every description will say items posted upon payment.

Agee with Raindropsies, it may just be a hiccup or maybe they're having pc or weather related issues or family troubles or whatever. I'd definitely give a return customer some slack in this department. E mailing them is a good idea as well as using the ASL as not everyone visits eBid regularly.

Putting your terms of sale/service on your About Me page is also a very good idea as it lets buyers know what you expect from them and what they can expect from you in terms of payment time frame, shipping time frame, return policy, etc..

Good luck, hope all works out OK.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

Why would it tell people that?
