    Default Nationality help please

    .

Can anyone recognize the nationality of this "couple" please, or anything else about them?
He is stamped with number 9 on the back, she with number 13. Clearly part of a set of miniature figurines. (3 inches tall)

I've googled National Dress images, and also done the image compare on Google but came up with nothing.

Any ideas would be really appreciated.

    That's a start, thank you.

I am thinking she looks to have Western features but he doesn't?

Given that they are not sequential numbers they may not be a pair

He appears to have a little hat on similar to what I have seen some men from an Asian country wearing, maybe Napal or Pakistan.

Are there any makers marks on them that might lead you to who created the set and what that are?

For the woman you might look at countries that have red and green , or predominantly so, flags (Bangladesh, Morocco, etc.).

I found these on another site, not feepay.

A set of vintage hand painted porcelain figurines

The man is similar but not the woman

    The seller's description is poor.

Thank You all for your input. Never thought of red/green flags. (After the recent Bavarian flag issue you would have thought I would!).

The only mark is place of production. (Japan).

Poscar - yes, the man (top centre) is the same. So, they are part of an "International" Set it would appear. (Peoples of the world so to speak as perceived in Japan in the 40's/50's or maybe earlier........)
