Never mind, paid straight away and upgraded myself to lifetime seller plus, with now a lot more time on my hands.

I am selling breweriana items such as beer pump clips and beermats under the banner of bertgees-beer-engine and have 1000s of these to add to my shop and everything is buy it now at very cheap prices and all are UK FREEPOST.

To anyone who has a MANBAR or WOMANBAR take a look and maybe something there to spruce up your bar top.

Good luck to all sellers and nice to have the time to be back....piles of items going on in the coming weeks and as I sell on another site I will be informing customers where to find me here at cheaper prices due to the cheaper fees. Hopefully a few come over here and enhance other members selling experiences. I will also be sending out cards with every purchase on the other side telling them how to get to ebid.

Emails started going out yesterday as I now have 900 items on and very quickly one customer has followed and bought three items this morning, hope this generates sales for other sellers on ebid

    Best regards to you all

I thought maybe the person who followed me over may be a guest buyer on here !!!! Simple mistake on my part possibly.

Bye Bye forum with attitudes like yours.

Just checked...the guest buyer has actually joined and three sales from them. So I guess this might be in the right place but heaven forbid if I have put it in the wrong thread.

One new member out of it in first day so surely thats what the ebid community wants !! More will follow too as I have many regular buyers on the other side.

Never used the forums over there because of too many nasty posters and what seemed to me like a clique and your reply doesn't do this forum any favours either. Have you never made a mistake...if posting this on this thread is a mistake of course???

I'm actually not quite sure that guest buyers are a good thing. I know I wouldn't be comfortable with a bidder on an auction that isn't a registered eBid user. However, I suppose someone just dropping in to make a purchase from a non-auction style listing isn't any different from a casual shopper dropping into a B&M store. Provided, of course, that they pay at the time of purchase.

That is the point. Non-registered users are not allowed to bid on an item. They are allowed to BuyNow and the situation then is no different to a registered user using BuyNow. You can demand immediate payment by setting your defaults appropriately.

I suppose that all listings, with the exception of auctions, will then have to require immediate payment since the seller would have no way of knowing if the buyer would end up being a registered user or guest. I wonder if that means that the new site will include a shopping cart to facilitate combining S&H at checkout. Of course, that would be handy provided it would be able to differentiate between sellers.

Another buyer followed me from the other side too but my point is Tony, the first one to follow me over has bought 13 items from another seller on ebid who would never have got those sales from that particular buyer as he just opened an account due to me sending out emails. So surely whether in right thread or not (which I actually believe it is in the right thread) those sales are good for ebid and i'm sure the seller is delighted with 13 new sales.

It is a certainty that others will follow too as I sell cheaper on here than on the other side and as soon as I get anywhere near the sales I get over there the account will be closed after 14 years of lining their pockets with a percentage of postage costs even being taken in fees.

I hope many other sellers benefit from the people following over.
