Noritake = crown and there are others like this one (which might also be a Noritake with the Morimura M):

Which just goes to prove I was right... I don't know anything about pottery.

I just didn't think a crown was something that would appear as a symbol in Japanese culture or iconography.

Can we see a pic of the items in full please (please don't let it be bright pink). Sometimes having a feel for the overall item can help to rule out large sections of an open search method.

Hopefully Blue may find the info in that book at the library.

BTW I think the Foreign mark dates them to pre 1923. (from 1923 onwards country of origin had to be stated).

"Foreign" is supposed to be pre 1897 but it did carry on a little longer with some. My German reasoning was the Librum sign for Ludwig followed by a multiplicity of initials over the years plus a crown.

Hi Cheaver;
I used to retail lots of Crested China and although they are not Crested manufacturers the "Foreign" mark was used quite a lot on post WW1 Czech crested china. I googled Czech Porcelain and hey presto!
