Ebid stores - Do I need one before I start selling

I am new to ebid. Do I need a store before my items will show under searches. I have started working on my store, but listed first

Hi,

No, you don't need a store in order for your items to show up in searches. But, since you only sell to the U.S.A., only buyers in that country will see your items. I'm in Canada and you don't ship here, so I had to change the URL to the US website so that I could see what you sell.

Once your store is set up, you can add your items to the store. I don't remember if you can bulk edit that or not. Maybe someone else will be along with that answer.

One of the benefits of having a store is that some people search the stores tab......for example, they click STORES, then select the area they are interested in.....maybe Collectables. If you don't have a store, your items won't be shown to them. If someone does a general search for a particular collectable say a certain postcard subject, using the search box, then, if you have the item listed with the same key words, like Postcard of Venice, then your item will show, whether it's in a store or not.
