Native New Yorker here (Queens)........I have also lived in the mid-west/western USA (Tucson, Arizona and Tulsa Oklahoma). Loved it out there because of the wide open spaces. Also lived in a small village outside of Oxford England, and my son was born in Oxford.

Although from the East Coast (New York/New Jersey) I have always been attracted to country living. Feel like a transplanted country person, and always have felt that way. Used to love visiting my aunt's Upstate New York home as a child, because it was so country and so remote. Her home was located in the area of the Woodstock event of the 60's (Hendrix, Joplin, etc.)

Can't say I remember ever being in Patoka, but in my youth I marched in a lot of parades in small towns with the Black Knights & Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps. Have you ever been to Pocahontas, Illinois?

I remember getting snowed in there in Buffalo. I think it was in '72 or '73.

(funny how everything outside NYC is called "upstate")
Hometown of Kodak, Xerox, Bausch & Lomb, and the 2nd tallest waterfall in the state.
(No shame in being 2nd next to Niagara, they're on the same geologic shelf and both empty into Lake Ontario)

Central New Jersey here and have lived here most of my life. Unless I am mistaken, I would bet that I'm the youngest eBid seller here in the US at 21. I'm just a University student trying to make some extra money for my expenses selling online. I used to sell on the other site, but I've had it with them and hoping I can be successful on eBid. (:

I've said this before...
(1) A name that doesn't look like an ebay typo, would make a better impression.
(2) Rase rates by 1%. then put some money into some advertising.

Why? Only a small percentage of eBid users visit the forums on a regular basis. Only a small percentage of that small percentage are US based. Only some of that small, small percentage will have felt inclined to respond to this thread (doing so is not mandatory).

I have no figures for eBid's presence in the US, but I do know that you cannot gauge it by the numbers you see popping up in the forums.
