I know exactly how you feel Emmily, thats how I feel just sit down in the mess and laugh as something else goes wrong, out bathroom sink had now spung a leak straight through the middle floor ceiling that we just finished, my answer is don't use the bathroom sink.

Sorry to hear that Buttons, good that you can deal with it with humour, at least with our problems it's only costing us time, delaying finishing work in our home. The shelf supports we'll complain to Keepmoat about, though we'll fix them, have already ordered shelf supports from Wilkinsons, hoping they are universal and will fit.

The dimensions given are largely wrong. but the peg sizes seem to be of the normal type. Should be ok.

Thanks Cambresis, I didn't read dimensions, just assumed they'd be universal, if they don't fit it's only £1.25 I'll put them in my junk drawer until they're needed somewhere else. If they don't fit it will cost us time in waiting for Keepmoat to replace them...

Saturday 17th October. Decorators came back today to finish what they started last Tuesday. They made a good job of it except they didn't/wouldn't paint the top part of window recess white, which I think it should be white as it reflects the light and just looks much better than having same colour as wall on that part. We'll probably paint them white ourselves rather than argue about it with managers and then if they agree, wait days on end for painters again.

Monday 19th October. Had Keepmoat broken phone message to call back, number not clear, couldn't call back. No work done.
Tuesday 20th October. Despite clearly informing Keepmoat last Friday that I wouldn't be in this afternoon (work commitment arranged months ago, new gas meter being installed in hall and I had to be available to go there at a moments notice when engineers phoned to say they were at the hall) Keepmoat phoned me at 10.50am to say trade was in today, reminded her I was not in this afternoon, no trade turned up. Though the person who'd phoned me, and been informed I wouldn't be in, did visit to find out what needed to be done to finish the works, while she was here my mobile rang, it was the gas engineer at hall, so I had to rush her out and go to hall.

Michael picked up the shelf supports from Wilko today, they fit, so our shelf is back up. Used 4 of the new supports for the shelf that collapsed, have used the original supports for the other missing ones on other shelves

Still waiting for missing work top to be fitted so I can take and post last photos.

Wednesday 21st October. Tom, Keepmoat manager visited to find out what snags needed to be done to finish.
Finally, the carpenter returned with the correct colour worktop and fitted it, cracked a wall tile while doing so, another snag to add to Tom's list...
Before and after photos below (oops, should have taken them both portrait or both landscape)

Waiting for sealant on toilet floor vinyl, once that's done I might post one before and one after of toilet and bathroom.

Thanks Buttons, yes very pleased with it , though not pleased with the time it has taken...

One of the bigger changes that threw us both for a few days was changing from a high level, pull chain toilet cistern to a low level push button cistern. For a few days we were both (yes, he does flush the toilet, he's been well trained ) automatically putting our hand up to pull the chain and there was nothing there. I didn't it again this evening and had a 'what the...' moment, them remembered the pull chain has gone.

Thursday 22nd October. Electrician re-connected our shower, once the bits have been put back up, the shower will be usable again. Someone was suppose to come today to do the snags, they didn't, another day of waiting in for no shows.
Did have visit from 3 Keepmoat managers (?) one was an excellent communicator, was talking about fan in kitchen, it would appear we are now getting a fan in the kitchen on the left of the window, as suggested it could easily go. Will be a bit more disruption in kitchen, though worth it.

Yes mine is trained to pull the chain and also to clean the toilet although he does seem to think the bog brush cleans it's self ( must do a more intensive training program.
