can you make on your items a special offer, like free postage if someone buys £50 off you in 1 go?

You can conduct your business how you wish.

If your query was more a 'how to' then a more specific question would get a more specific answer.

You can use the "Notices" section that will show up on your listings. You can also add a statement to your listing description, or on your "About Me" page.

While making a special offer in a notice my be fine in alerting customers to your offer, I'm not sure that eBid's system would permit the shipping to be automatically removed from the billing once the minimum required purchase amount was met. In order for free shipping or any type of discount, based on a minimum purchase requirement, to be given would, I believe, require the buyer to wait for an adjusted invoice to be received from the seller.
