    Default Today is Armistice Day

As today is Armistice Day when the guns fell silent on the Western Front, please remember the fallen ~ both past and present.

    For the Fallen ...
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
    We will remember them."

The holiday is no longer called "Armistice Day" here in the US. Unfortunately, the "war to end all wars" didn't. Here in the US the holiday was renamed "Veteran's Day" to honor those that served in all the wars.

On Armistice Day we should also remember those military personnel who will fall in the future because western Governments do not have the ability to learn from past mistakes and do not have the ability to avoid repeating them.

The military usually get called in when the politicians have failed and it is they who lose their lives, not the politicians.
