It was an allusion made by an idiot (is there any other type?) Labour politician during the Oldham West and Royton by-election campaign. He inferred that the playing of 'White Christmas' by UKIP as part of a medley of Xmas songs was racially offensive in an area with a high number of non-white constituents (and, presumably, must be deemed racist played anywhere).

I'm sure I saw this article somewhere else, on Twitter or Facebook or something, and although not offended by it did feel that it seemed somehow appropriate for UKIP to be playing it.

I suspect that only the professionally outraged actually found it offensive, but that a large part of the population probably sniggered a little and thought "surprise, surprise".

yes its interesting the subject of pushing boundaries , another example is the greenies hidden lobbying the eu bringing in more and more laws that have not been voted for by the people they effect across europe,not just the uk,
