No. OP did not say that they should be helping out. However, if he was not implying that they should, what was the point of the post anyway? Astral was quite right, what is the point of not getting on with their life if they can't do anything.

I read it that it was felt inappropriate for others to be carrying on life as normal while others were having problems. If that were the case then we would spend our whole lives (there's always someone suffering) sat weeping and wringing our hands and actually do nothing.
