Thread: Tories abandon plan to force all schools to become academies

  1. #1

Default Tories abandon plan to force all schools to become academies

They've snuck this in amidst all their bad news today, but some good news is they're cancelling the plans to turn all schools into academies. Well done Dodgy Dave, it's took you 6 years but you've made one good decision

At least thats one more than Jeremy Corbyn.

All schools in this country (England) Should be

    Government Controled

    Coeducational

    and Secular.

There have been several U turns from Cameron’s Government and defeats in Parliament and I am beginning to wonder whether the Liberal Democrats were correct when they said that they helped to improve the policy making in the Coalition Government.

The academies diktat was always bound to blow up in their faces – ideology gone mad. The best way to improve educational performance is to let teachers get on with their jobs in a stable framework that does not get turned upside down every few years and to reduce the amount of time they have to spend on administrative bureaucracy.

Regarding Jeremy Corbyn, his team are the only leading politicians that I have heard since the 1970s who understand economics and how to get an economy moving again.
