    Default Enforced Windows 10 upgrade!

Anyone else had Windows 10 foisted upon them lately
I'm not happy about this situation, as it seem that Microsoft are now forcing their products on consumers, whether one wants them or not.
I have been actively avoiding this upgrade for some time, but the other day my choice in the matter was stolen away!

OK - I'm now getting used to it - BUT I hate having to learn new software, being interrupted in my status quo & having my computer hijacked without my authority.
NOT HAPPY JAN - as the saying goes!

Question - what happens at some point in the future - say Windows 12 or 14 is automatically placed on our hard drives & it turns out to be the biggest piece of CARP ever produced

They say - Oh, we're giving you the upgrade for free & what's ya beef - others (on the net) are saying it is only because at some time they, Microsoft, are going to make even more money out of it.

I wonder that if they can download a product directly to your "private" computer unauthorized, then what's stopping them forcing any other product or service on you the same way (& perhaps take a fee!)
The thin end of the wedge IMHO - NOT cool Mr. Microsoft

You have a month from the upgrade to revert back to your old os.Once you've done that, download never 10 to stop it happening again.
This program works at the moment but I'm sure microsnot will try & stop it.

Thanks guys, I didn't know of the revert back option, but had seen the never 10 download.
I guess I'll stick with it now that I'm getting the hang of things - SO - I guess they've won!
Probably most people will do the same, so there cunning plan has worked.
If I get a bill, or money disappears out of my account, I'll let you all know.

I think you need to do a bit of research on win 10.That's exactly what they intend. You will not have the option to pick & choose "download updates".

I am now convinced that they tried to do something to my computer on start up two weeks ago Now, as there is no other reason that i lost all my pictures and a lot of files, now need to re load some programs as well, and settings got changed, there was no other reason for it, it didn't crash, did not have a virus or any bugs, the computer is still on XP, makes me wonder if they are attempting to wreck XP in on the sly, I have a computer with 10 on that i upgraded to 10 when i bought it but i need this one as old progs i use wont run on it and i still cannot get it to receive emails, it's thick.

I've long been convinced that when MS release a new version of Windows they include in updates to the old version routines to slow it down; until it gets to the point of being unusable and you, kicking and screaming, have to 'upgrade'.
